Inspection Supervisor
Responsibilities
With direct supervision, responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all hourly inspection department employees.
Inspection function responsible for assuring that high quality control and product reliability standard are maintained.
Responsible for condition of Inspection equipment and securing maintenance services.
Coordinates with Production Supervision, Production Planning, Process Engineering, Standards and Quality control to maintain workforce efficiencies, production schedules, quality of workmanship, etc.
Performs Radiographic Inspection as needed.
Responsible to transfer information to the following shift to achieve the production requirements of the respective departments.
This position requires regularly scheduled weekend work as Supervisor for the entire manufacturing floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (BA) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field, along with three (3) or more years of experience.
- Effective supervisory / leadership skills are required.
- Fundamental knowledge and application of state-of-the-art inspection and quality assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations; as well as those in Manufacturing Production.
- Level 2 certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
Eventual Level 2 certification Radiographic Inspection, to an agreed upon schedule after starting this position. - Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques.
General knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and system requirements.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to field.
- Ability to use standard business application software and/or specialized data analysis tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Syteline.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
